Eighteen years ago, I gave my heart to a girl on the school playground. What do first graders know about love? The innocence of a young boy’s mind was wise enough to recognize true love in its purest form, and no other woman has ever measured up. When I stumble across what looks to be a mugging victim, I do my all to help save her. When I find the ring that I gave my soulmate all those years ago around her neck? I lose my mind, telling the entire hospital that the woman who is now lying in a coma is my wife. Does that make me a liar? Maybe, but I don’t care as long as I can keep her safe from the entire world because God knows that when I find whoever hurt her, nothing will stop me from delivering the justice they deserve.
