Cade Johnston has been trying to break into show business without luck, and now he has a chance to audition for a new TV show on a major network. He missed the Hollywood auditions so he decides to travel back home to the deep rural countryside of Southern New Jersey and audition in Philadelphia, where there are a few surprises in store. He arrives at his mother and father’s old brick plantation style house for the first time since he graduated high school without knowing what to expect. He hasn't had much contact with them since he came out of the closet seven years earlier and he doesn't know how they feel about him being gay...or if they even care anymore. With all the obstacles Cade faces before the audition, he discovers a few things about himself he didn't know. And when he meets a fascinating man, he’s determined to concentrate more on love that's going to last...because he's tired of having nothing that lasts forever.
