Meghan Malone has been a writer for as long as she can remember. She grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan, near Detroit, and made her storytelling debut as soon as she could write words. Her first works were short tales scribbled into homemade construction paper books, but as a teenager, she graduated to spiral notebooks and more epic story ideas. Unfortunately, she also developed the unfortunate habit of leaving most of her work unfinished. Still, a dream was born. In college, Meghan chose the practical major of Business Administration, with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Having taught herself HTML soon after arriving at her University of Michigan dorm room in Ann Arbor, she realized that she had an aptitude for coding and decided to become a professional computer geek. She graduated with a BBA and joined the working world as a web and database developer. Today, she is employed by a small Northern California company to write and maintain the internal website that is used for every aspect of the business' operations. While she enjoys the challenges of the work and the sparkling personalities of her co-workers, her real passion remains writing. Under the pseudonym Meghan O'Brien, she published her first novel, the lesbian fiction romance Infinite Loop, in 2005, and her second, the lesbian polyamory post-apocalyptic novel The Three, the following year. She followed that up with four more lesbian romance and erotica novels from Bold Strokes Books, including Thirteen Hours, Battle Scars, Wild, and The Night Off. She has written multiple erotic and romantic short lesbian fiction stories which have appeared in numerous Erotic Interludes and Romantic Interludes anthologies, also published by Bold Strokes. She is the recipient of a 2009 Golden Crown Literary Society award for Erotica for Thirteen Hours, and five 2011 Rainbow Awards for the book Wild. One thing that motivates Meghan as an author is the challenge of tackling new genres and stories every time she writes. Within the lesbian fiction realm, her stories are unabashedly romantic but range from contemporary romance to speculative fiction to erotic romance to paranormal romance. She hopes to achieve the same variety—albeit with the constancy of hot sex and passionate romance—with her heterosexual romance novels. Meghan lives with her partner and their young son in Sonoma County, California. In her (hard-to-find) spare time, she enjoys playing video games
