When she's not writing, you'll generally find Melanie doing her second love, editing. Since 2003, her publishing consultancy, Editor for You, has helped hundreds of authors, publishers, and agents. From 1998 to 2003, Melanie was editor of Writer's Digest magazine and also served for a time as editorial director for Writer's Digest Books. These days, she lives in Arlington, Virginia, where she loves life and is constantly overbooked between church activities, work, and friends. And she wouldn't have it any other way.
