Melanie Schubert is a Melburnian coffee and boba tea fiend, who works as a scriptwriter and songwriter for the New Zealand performing arts company, Gobsmacked. She lives in a tiny shoe-box apartment with her darling husband Filip and her highly opinionated french bulldog Goose. For as long as she can remember, she has been staring out of windows, lost in daydreams, and carving her own path in this crazy thing called life. In 2017, she won a competition to have her first Middle Grade book, Gregory and the Grimbockle, published. In 2020 she was accepted for a mentorship with Pitch Wars for her YA Fantasy Society of the Unseen.
