Declan is a sensitive boy, an artist who hides many secrets and a painful past under his dark tattoos. During a party in London he runs into Hope again, a bubbly and fragile-looking girl he met two years earlier in Hampstead Heath park. An overwhelming attraction is born between them but, when an old acquaintance from Declan’s past comes back to haunt him, their bond risks breaking. Hope will take matters into her own hands to try to redeem Declan’s serenity and save their story, while, under the large chestnut tree of his grandparents’ house in Italy, disturbing visions begin to appear again. Present and past, passion and death will intertwine with each other, until they are faced with an inevitable choice.
