Cody West only has one mission on his mind… An ex-girlfriend doesn’t factor into the equation. It’s not easy coming back home to fight for the position you’ve earned. Cody finished at the top of his class at medical school, and he deserves to run the hospital when his father retires. The only thing standing in his way is his cousin, Ethan, who up until recently, didn’t even care about the job. That’s why Cody is determined to convince himself he doesn’t have time to date, even if it means giving up his second chance with the one woman who got away. Rebecca Taylor lets her best friend, Marissa, call the shots ever since she got her heart broken by her high school boyfriend. It took her nearly a year to get over him dumping her via text message. Now, he’s back in town and wanting a do-over, but she’s too afraid to risk getting rejected again, even if it means missing out on true love. Of course, Cody always was persistent, and he doesn’t seem willing to let her go a second time. Will he be able to break down her façade and remind her why she fell for him in the first place?
