James life was finally on the right track. Finishing college and securing a highly coveted job at the prestigious bank was what James thought he needed to for success. After his Best friend, roommate, and coworker, Blake, left the bank and moved to Idaho, James felt he needed to change careers. Cooking had always been a passion of his and he had never considered it as something he could pursue as a career, until now. Staring his new career gave him the opportunity to follow Blake, move to Idaho, and become the new head chef of Maxine's on the River. But standing at the ski lodge, looking at a memory from the past, had him questioning everything. Leaving Michigan his senior year of high school the way he had to, left James with only two regrets, and now he stood staring into the beautiful bright eyes of one of those of one of those regrets. How would he explain who he left her so long ago? How would he explain why he ghosted her? How would he tell her everything that happened, including how she broke his heart? His past had finally caught up with him, and he didn't know how he would handle this part of his life. A new career in a new state- and now his past was starting him in the face. The past he buried deep down and all but forgot about. Only time would tell if this woman standing in front of him will understand his heartbreak and why he did what he felt he had to do to move on.
