Michael Sledge is the author of a novel, The More I Owe You (Counterpoint, 2010), and a memoir, Mother and Son (Simon & Schuster, 1995). A Texas native, he received his BA from Stanford University, and an MFA in Writing from Columbia University's School of the Arts. He is co-founder of the Oax-i-fornia arts studio in Oaxaca, Mexico, a collaborative project between Oaxacan artisans and art students from the California College of the Arts (www.oaxifornia.org). He divides his time between San Francisco and Oaxaca.
