Uitgeverij Dupuis vertrouwde de verstripping van de misdaadromans toe aan twee doorgewinterde auteurs: tekenaar José Homs (Angelus) en scenarist Sylvain Runberg (Orbital). "Stieg heeft altijd van stripverhalen gehouden en zou wild zijn van het idee dat zijn personages tot leven komen in een stripalbum", zegt Joakim Larsson, de jongste broer van de schrijver. De reeks wordt verstript in zes delen, aan een tempo van twee albums per jaar. Tegen eind 2015 is de Millennium-saga dus compleet in stripvorm!
