In Paris there is a little girl. Her name is Nenette and she has lost her white cat. She calls him - Minou! Minou! Minou! But Minou does not answer and Nenette goes everywhere looking and asking for him. She goes to the bookshop, the hat shop, the cafe, the restaurant. She asks the woman who sells fish, the man who sweeps the streets, and even the postman. Nenette must travel all over Paris before she finally learn where Minou has gone, but why he will surely come back. Francois has created another wholly charming, colourful and childlike picture story that conveys the delight and gaiety of Paris.
