Mira Tudor is a Romanian poet and writer with an academic background in literature, studio art, art history, and sociology from both Romanian and American institutions. Her poetry, flash fiction, and art and sociology essays have appeared in Romania in literary and scholarly publications as well as in widely circulated magazines and newspapers, and in the US in art exhibitions and elsewhere. In recent years she has felt compelled to start writing short stories and novels so as to better express ideas which need at least several individualities to begin to unfold. That said, she allows her characters to grow stronger than their ideas—they become conflicted, as most of us are, about what they think and feel. Poets, Artists, Lovers is her first novel. She is currently working on poems, short stories, and a new novel.
