
politician, feminist and writer * Among many other things, Mitra Mitrović was a leading female revolutionary of the communist movement in Yugoslavia during World War II and after the war she served as a minister of education of Serbia from 1945. to 1949. However, she was excluded from politics in december 1954, after the fall to dissidence of Milovan Đilas (her ex husband). Although sidelined from politics, she continued doing work related to education and schools until 1962. and in later years she dedicated her time to writing and translating.
