About the Author and the Article Writer My name is Mary-Jane Melrose (aka M.J.Melrose) I'm a writer living in a magical world where mythological beings and magic exists. I have an extraordinary imagination, which has taken me to places no ordinary mortal has been. Magical worlds to me have become a second home – these worlds are a special place that I like to visit whenever I crave magic. These worlds give me the chance to explore the unimaginable, meet mythical creatures and become someone completely different. (Come on who doesn’t want to meet mythical Gods who can hypnotise you and make you fall in love with them in an instant.) Want to learn about the Real Mary the Mortal behind the Writer? Questions have been answered below about me, with a bit of luck you’ll be able to learn more about me on a personal level. 1.Where are you Mary-Jane Melrose from? I'm from a city called London in England. 2.Where do you Reside Now? Hampshire 3.What do you do when not writing and moving from pillar to post? Apart from living in a fantasy world and bringing imagination to life through words. I am a mum to two wonderful little terror bags and a wife to an even bigger terror bag. I am yet to realize who is the biggest terror bag out of the three. Other than writing and being a mum I'm self-employed running my own accessory business. I have a very busy schedule. In the future, I hope to have at least one night where I can sleep more than seven hours. Until then, I can only daydream of that delightful moment. 4. What started your writing journey and made you want to become an author? I have always wanted to write a novel or five. It wasn't until I had children and took a break in my career that I found the time to write The Star Maiden Trilogy. This was when my writing journey began. 5. Why do you write for the YA market, are you a young adult yourself? I'm 38 years old, so not a young adult as such. However, I'm young in mind and spirit. 6. What is your favourite quote? "Sometimes, when things are falling apart They actually might be falling into place." I love the meaning behind the quote, It's not until you look back and realise this is the time life turned around. In my own words, "Sometimes Chaos bring a new beginning." 7. What book has Mary read so far in 2022, that she would recommend? I skipped a few meals and a few hours of sleep when Gabriel's Inferno came into my possession.
