Can the solution to a problem be the problem itself? This explicit, yet equivocal book, follows the story of a person who begins to lose himself in perceived heroism. As the pursuit of justice merges into vengeance, the lines between right and wrong start to blur. After all, what is right or wrong? Ask that. Question the characters; question their choices; question their opinions; question yours. As you follow the ex-military soldier, Jack Owsinski, who becomes disgusted and worrisome with the heavily increased crime rate in the city he returns to. He experiences pain and heartbreak which results in burning hatred and rage. Blinded, he spirals downwards and develops into someone he, himself, cannot recognize. This book can be enjoyed on different levels. While writing it, I took the time to visit all the places that the settings are based on, in hopes of delivering a story that feels dynamic and alive. So whether readers are looking for a ride of vivid and brutally descriptive action, or they prefer taking the time to read closer; deciphering the different choices that are made from a moral or even psychological perspective; the aim is that it’s left open for interpretation, simplification and discernment.
