Molly Rettig is an Alaska journalist and author who writes about science, history, and the environment. She has a knack for capturing what makes people tick, and transporting readers to undiscovered places: on long-distance dog mushing races, into hidden gold mines, aboard secret wartime missions, and into a cold sweat - staring down the barrel of a shotgun at a grumpy grizzly. Rettig lives at "the end of the road" in Fairbanks, Alaska and has written for Alaska magazine, Alaska Public Radio, Skiing magazine and a number of national publications. Her first book, Finding True North, was published by the University of Alaska Press in 2021.
