Reece O’Dell has spent her life hunting what hides in the shadows. Monsters don’t scare her. People do. And children? Even worse. But when her latest assignment pairs her with a cocky new partner and a changeling child on the run, Reece finds herself in unfamiliar territory. The girl, Maelie, is more than just a job. She’s a target. As enemies close in from all sides—ruthless agencies, corrupted allies, and something darker no one’s willing to name—Reece must confront the protecting Maelie may be the key to stopping a war between the magical and mortal worlds. Trust is scarce. Betrayal is everywhere. And if Reece fails, it won’t just cost her the mission. It’ll cost her everything. So… kid-sitting a little monster it is. Monster Sitter is the first book in the new Chaos Caretakers series by Paige Andrews and Percival Constantine.
