Mark McAlister needs a woman. But not just any woman. She has to be cultured and reserved with impeccable manners, the kind of woman he can bring to his stuffy accounting firm's dinner dance to convince his boss he's partner material. Bartender Liz Prescott can't understand why a nice guy like Mark wants the snooty, condescending woman he's set his sights on, but she offers to help him get her attention, anyway. Liz is convinced that all he needs is a bit of a makeover and a dose of self confidence, and he can have any woman he wants. Mark is sure this crazy, short-skirted, fun-loving redhead couldn't possibly give him the advice he needs, but sure enough, the woman he wants takes the bait. It isn't long, though, before Liz goes from helping Mark find the woman of his dreams to being the woman of his dreams. But if he shows up with her he can kiss the partnership goodbye.
