This book will be coming out in a week or so – on Amazon. The title is deliberately a little edgy and meant to provoke; I hope to stimulate more critical thinking about the nature of truth. My book is mostly about the biological origins of morality. It describes how the elements of morality arose during biological evolution and became the enabler of the higher and higher levels of collaboration responsible for human success. While other authors have addressed this topic, my book goes on to make the case that, while religion may well have spun out of cultural evolution as a way of amplifying and reinforcing our innate moral and ethical inclinations, organized religion - along the way – also became more of an overly-dogmatic, divisive force (crusades, jihads, religious wars, 9/11, inquisitions etc.) and often losing sight of morality’s core element. I make the case that despite religion’s many positives, blind religious faith is not always positive. Now, blind faith seems to have spilled over into politics and even education where it is never good. Whether you agree or disagree, I hope those who read it will find the book thought-provoking. I will establish a special Facebook page and would enjoy reactions and hearing other points of view directed there or at the website given on the back cover.
