Morgan's mystery novel THE DIVIDE is set for a Summer 2024 release from Anchor Books. While working at a desk job at Paramount Pictures, Morgan wrote her first novel, CHARLOTTE DENT; in 2008, the unpublished manuscript became a semi-finalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award (ABNA). A Publishers Weekly review written for ABNA judging purposes proclaimed, “From start to end, this is a crisp, fun treatment of Hollywood life.” Her self-published novel BIAS CUT won a silver medal in the Mystery category of the Independent Publishers Book Awards (IPPYs) and was a 2012 ABNA semi-finalist (top 1% of 10,000 entries); the ABNA-sponsored Publishers Weekly review for BIAS CUT proclaimed it “fresh and dark” and praised its “snappy dialogue and accomplished descriptions.” Her novel LONELY SATELLITE was a 2014 ABNA quarter-finalist. Morgan has written for sites such as TVgasm, Forces of Geek, and A.Side and has ghostwritten novels for private clients. In 2011, she began occasionally posting irreverent yet affectionate in-depth analyses of classic Duran Duran videos on her personal website. These analyses amassed a cult following. Her book DURANALYSIS: ESSAYS ON THE DURAN DURAN EXPERIENCE was published in 2017. Morgan has a YouTube channel where she hosts two series: Miami Vice Changed Everything, an episode-by-episode breakdown of the 1984-1989 NBC series, and When Gen-X Ruled the Multiplex, where she examines films from the 1980s that might have played a role in shaping the young minds of the MTV Generation. Born and raised in Spokane, Morgan graduated from the screenwriting program at USC's film school, then worked in production on several television shows in Los Angeles, such as ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos and E! Entertainment Television’s Emmy-winning comedy series Talk Soup.
