When a woman's body is found in an alley in the City of London, Scotland Yard is asked to investigate. However, as DS Patrick Shea and DCI Tommy Boyle investigate, the enquiry uncovers the operations of an East European crime syndicate involved in human trafficking, drugs, and prostitution, and their only lead is a Polish prostitute.
