Phoebe Razek has cerebral palsy, a physical impairment which affects the muscles in her arms and legs. She battles the typical hardships of high school—crushes, boring English class, and bullies—all with a limp. The thing is, Phoebe has a dream—to be a track star! Included in this short story are several other writings which reflect the author's own struggle with cerebral palsy. While "Legs" is fictional, the other writings are considered personal and honest portrayals of the author's life in relation to his disability, as well as his passions.
