After Gavin stares right past Nora’s tears she tells herself she is done with him. She broke her rule about not getting involved with guys like him and now she’s paying the price with heartbreak. But Gavin isn’t done with her. In the sauna he extracted a promise from Nora that she would come work as his private librarian and he expects her to honor that promise. Nora wants to tell him to go to hell, but Gavin’s job offer is the answer to her prayers in so many different ways. Even more tempting, Gavin tells her he is sorry for the way he behaved. Is he luring Nora in for more heartbreak, or making a genuine effort to connect with her? Clearly one night of passion wasn’t enough to knock down the high walls that Gavin has erected around his heart. Now Nora needs to decide if she is willing to keep trying to knock down those walls, and if she is willing to pay the emotional price should she fail.
