NJ McConnell is the pen name of a freelance journalist and writer living in Oklahoma who has traveled extensively. She's a literal 'Jack of all trades' after having served in the military, driven a semi truck over the road, driven a NYC taxi cab, and worked in law enforcement. She divides her time between writing and family with her dog Coco, who is included in many books. Chanel, the cat, would've been included in stories as well, but the finicky feline didn't approve and the author was afraid to upset the little Princess. You see, Chanel has extremely sharp claws and an attitude that makes Garfield seem like a saint. NJ can usually be found typing on a laptop in her pajamas or watching the birds returning from their vacations in the south and seedlings emerging in the garden while wondering if it's possible to put the magnificence of nature into words.
