NK Morales (aka Nancy), Colorado born and bred in the San Luis Valley, has always been a writer at heart. When she was a teenager she spent hours writing in her journal. Throughout the years she spent time coming up with ideas for books. Several times she even started writing but usually life got in the way and she would put her writing on the back burner. She graduated from Adams State University with a degree in Advertising. In 2007 NK retired from her day job as a provisioning supervisor from Cox Communication to be a stay at home mom to her only child. As her son grew older and entered middle school she knew it was time to go back to work. The only problem was she knew she didn’t want to work for Corporate America any more. She needed a job where she would still be able to drop off and pick up her son from school. She found the perfect job working part time, two days a week, for the second largest jewelry and gift store in the United States, Borsheims; where she still works today. Unfortunately, she seldom brings home a paycheck. For her birthday in 2011 her husband gave her a Kindle. NK literally spent the next six months with her nose in a book. She read well over 200 books from romance, mystery, paranormal, classics, religious, self help, and even a few DIY books. Reading all those books re-kindled her love for writing. This time she didn’t let life’s little hiccups get in the way, she followed her dream and began writing. When she is not playing taxi for her son she can be found behind her computer writing or behind her kindle reading books from her favorite authors. She currently lives in Omaha, Nebraska with her husband, her son, and her big lazy cat Jessica.
