I am transformed mother, ardent reader, and a writer exploring ancient, controvertible history, past lives, and magical reality. It’s been quite the journey to get here. I lived my first twenty-nine years in beautiful and secure ordinariness, enjoying a pleasant childhood (circle of friends, family camping trips), school and job success (BA Chemistry, MS Hazardous Waste Management, cancer research, environmental site cleanup, hazardous waste disposal), easy friendships, and a happy marriage (going strong). Motherhood landed me in a new land. Each of my children arrived with a clear mission and unique way of being. None developed in accordance with timelines or charts. Life as I knew and envisioned it, ended, and the journey of a lifetime began. (Read all about it: “Swan Mothers: Discovering Our True Selves by Parenting Uniquely Magnificent Children.”) Ratings. I wish there were more options. I do my best to stick to the standard Goodreads descriptions, so three stars does not indicate mediocre books. I have not liked some books that have great literary merit. 5 stars – it was amazing (I loved it. It changed me or taught me something profound. I want to read everything this author writes.) 4 stars – really liked it (I *really* liked it. Great writing and/or amazing story. I want to read more from this author.) 3 stars – liked it (Pleasant and/or entertaining and/or educational. Worth my time to read.) 2 stars – it was OK (I admit to giving some books I didn't like 2 stars. I feel terrible giving 1 star ratings because I know writing a book is hard.) 1 star – I've removed 1 star ratings due to advice from other authors. unrated - books I started, read at least 10%, but chose not to finish
