Nelson Cover is a former university administrator and consultant whose clients included numerous colleges, universities, hospitals, medical centers and think tanks. Over the years, on occasion, he observed both uplifting as well as scandalous events involving non-profit organizations. In From the Midst of Wickedness Cover combines the basics of two separate scandals to form the plot’s background and action and brings them bear on two characters drawn from a short story, Thomas Simpson, a communications professor and his best friend, cancer researcher Zoltan Vastag. Today, Cover resides in Vero Beach Florida where he continues his non-profit involvement with performing arts, social service, environment and animal welfare groups. In 2013 he self-published a first novel, Danced By the Light of the Moon, the story of a group of 30 year olds caught in a disastrous Caribbean charter sailing vacation. As an avid cyclist, Cover has pedaled 6,000 miles a year for the last 6 years, including numerous national and international trips. He is also a sailing enthusiast and has taken to the seas extensively in the Chesapeake Bay, Virgin Islands and Greece.
