Dating a Cougar

2011

The last thing she needed in her already talk-show worthy life was to fall in love with a younger man. After two decades of looking for true love and never finding it, aging model and lingerie designer, Alexa Ranger, had finally given up searching. It’s shocking at fifty to find herself wanting a sex life again, and even more shocking to be an older woman attracted to a younger man. Thirty-eight-year-old, medically retired Marine, Casey Carter, is incredibly sexy, but a relationship with the man is totally out of the question. Casey is related to her daughter’s boyfriend. The last thing Alexa needs is another talk-show worthy drama in her already complicated life, no matter how well Casey kisses. ABOUT THE NEVER TOO LATE SERIES: Tired of younger heroines and heroes getting all the action? How about something different? The Never Too Late series is a collection of six sexy, romantic comedies about finding love and romance after turning 40 and 50. These contemporary romances are intentionally heavy on humor and light on tears. The heroines are successful in life, but not successful in love, as their friends are quick to point out. The heroes are drool-worthy, confident, and know what it takes to make a woman feel loved and wanted.

Dating Dr. Notorious

2011

Being the best in her field doesn't seem to help famously successful sex therapist, Dr. Regina Logan, who manages to fix everyone’s love life but her own. Men won't date her. Her brutal honesty about physical matters intimidates most males. It also doesn’t help her love life that the press publishes every dating move she makes. Though she knows her negative publicity is the biggest problem, Regina thinks it's still ironic for a 47 yr old woman to be so knowledgeable about pleasing a man when there’s no lover in her life to benefit. Since most men have a tendency to run away before making it as far as her bed, it is definitely no surprise to Regina when "nice guy" Ben Kaiser rejects her after discovering her identity. But it still hurts. Ben’s kisses promise fulfillment of every fantasy she’s ever had, but no matter how great he is, Regina would be the first to admit there’s no room in her crazy public life for someone as nice as Ben. After losing his wife to a two-year battle with cancer, 50 yr old widower, successful CEO, and all around nice guy, Ben Kaiser, is ready to start dating again. At a charity fundraiser, he takes a risk and asks a beautiful woman to dance. Ben’s attraction to the woman is so compelling he ends up dragging her outside to a secluded garden for a make-out session worthy of his teenage years. Thrilled to find such attraction at his age, Ben is later shocked to discover the woman he’s been kissing so passionately is the notorious Dr. Regina Logan. Her full-out responses to his lovemaking have Ben putting his hands on her every chance he gets, and when Ben tries to run away, he doesn't get very far before deciding he's probably spent too much time in his life being nice. Still, the negative publicity generated by her notorious career requires them to keep their relationship hidden to protect Ben's reputation and business. After deciding he wants to marry Regina, keeping the way they feel about each other a secret ends up being something Ben just can't be nice about.

Dating a Saint

2011

After divorcing her cheating ex-husband years ago, 42 yr old Lauren McCarthy is pleased with herself for finding ways to be happy that don’t involve dating and men. Who needs that kind of headache or heartache anyway? Her best friends call her a saint for choosing a celibate life over a man in her bed, but Lauren considers it just self-preservation. It took a lot of therapy to deal with being married to a man habitually sleeping with other women. That’s why it’s so painful now to find herself seriously attracted to a married man. Or at least, James Gallagher says he's married, but Lauren has never actually seen him with a wife. His answers to her questions about it are vague and frustrating. Lauren doesn’t want to risk getting to know Jim only to find out he’s as bad as her ex. In fact, there are many reasons not to get involved with the mysterious man, but desire for him keeps overriding her common sense. Every single time Jim puts his desperate and needy hands on her, the only thought Lauren has is that Jim belongs to her. If he would only trust her with his secrets, she might be willing to risk her saintly reputation if it meant ending up in Jim’s arms. It’s true 42 yr old James Gallagher is keeping some secrets, but whether or not he is married is not one of them. He freely admits to being legally married, but figures the details of the situation are his business alone. Besides, what difference does it make anyway? There isn’t a line of women waiting to have affairs with him, and he’s not interested anyway. He learned a hard lesson a few years ago, learned he couldn’t live a normal life, not even a notorious one. Labeled by his conservative town as a womanizing cheater, the judgment seems a bit harsh to Jim for a single moment of weakness he never repeated. Still Jim has mostly learned to live with what he assumes he can never change. It is only when his attraction to Lauren McCarthy turns into a gut wrenching reality that Jim starts regretting his situation. One thing for sure, Jim knows Lauren’s history pretty much guarantees she could never settle for what little he can offer her, not that he would actually ask her to sleep with him. The last thing in the world Jim wants is an affair with the woman he fantasizes about being his wife.

Dating a Metro Man

2011

If asked, 30 yr old Seth Carter could not have recounted a single moment since he’d met the frustrating woman that he had not un-irrevocably loved the stubborn, self-centered, and admittedly spoiled 28 yr old Jenna Ranger. He truly hadn’t meant to ignore or reject her passion during the months they had dated, but he hadn’t understood the depth of it. Okay, maybe he hadn’t be able to see how it fit with the rest of his plans, but he did now. He is certainly more than glad to rectify the wrong if Jenna would only let him. Anything is better than the torture of watching Jenna date other men and wondering if she’s going to sleep with them. His cousin Casey thinks he’s crazy for trying so hard to get Jenna back into his life, but Seth knows he is so crazy in love with Jenna that there is simply nothing else he can do. It’s the way Jenna looks at him, and the way she touches him, and the unrestrained way she always kisses him regardless of how mad she is. Seth knows for certain that once he has Jenna completely in his life, there is never going to be anyone else for either of them. Dating Seth Cater did not work out well for Jenna Ranger. After finally ending her four month toxic torture cycle of trying to seduce the man and failing repeatedly, Jenna is now investing a lot of energy in putting her humiliating attempt at a relationship with him behind her. With her ego in shreds and her feminine self-worth tattered, she is determined not to repeat the mistake her mother made in life of pining for a man who did not desire her. Jenna actively dates with as much commitment to finding a replacement boyfriend as she ever put into any architecture project. Sure it’s a struggle at times to find interesting, straight men, but Jenna is resourceful. And okay, maybe she still has a problem of not being able to keep her hands off Seth when he’s nearby. None of that means she isn’t going to eventually get over him. No woman in her right mind would willing choose to spend all her free time with a man who so obviously loves his cell phone more than he does her. It would be helpful though if the man in question didn’t make her dizzy when he kissed her and wasn’t able to arouse her completely with a single touch of his hand.
