In the summer of 2005, Anna’s brother Jay is fighting his last battle at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. As Anna faces losing her brother, she crosses paths with Shane, a young man dealing with his own hardships. Shane’s reason for being at Charity Hospital is to complete physical therapy pertaining to a recently acquired spinal cord injury.
