
Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Nick Dager graduated from high school and college in Illinois. For many years he worked as a newspaper writer/photographer in far suburban Chicago before moving to New York to attend NYU’s Graduate School of Film & Television. Since leaving NYU, Dager has reported fulltime on film and television production for a number of national and international media outlets. He is currently the editor and publisher of the website Digital Cinema Report, which is read monthly by more than 45,000 motion picture professionals around the world. The Jacob Sloan Mysteries are based on his experiences as a young reporter and are set in the fictional small town of Charleston, Ohio. There are now seven books in the series: Reliable Sources, Tombstones, Bleed, Deadlines, Widows & Orphans, Buried Leads and Obituaries. Dager is currently at work on the eighth book in the series: Attribution.
