'Phew, writing your first novel can be very stressful. At least I've cut down to one a day.' Nick Higgins was born in Bristol in 1957 and is a retired Civil Servant. He lives in Devon with his wife and two children, four grand children and two dogs. His career in the Civil Service took him all around Europe on various projects, exchanges and operations. The majority of his service was spent at sea, during which time he gained numerous engineering and maritime qualifications. Alongside these he also gained a wealth of experience and knowledge about human nature, close knit relationships and comradeship (along with a taste for copious amounts of red wine). Being locked in a steel box for 37 years with a bunch of nutters gives a wealth of experience and tales to draw upon. His formative years in Bristol were tough. The walk to Primary School, skirting the burnt-out shells of cars, smouldering council houses and bomb craters, wasn't for the feint-hearted. Hitler's Luftwaffe? No, St Anne's was a very rough area. Nick is currently working on the sequel to Rhino Hunt, entitled Rhino Hunted - The Munter with the Dolphin Tattoo. His Probation Officer said he wouldn't amount to much, but he is now a best selling international author. He has sold more books than anyone in his family. His sales span the globe with one sold in Australia, one in USA and quite a few in Wales and Scotland. Enjoy.
