Norm Bass is an avid outdoorsman, who has spent most of his life in Colorado, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the backcountry. He became interested in writing at an early age and started writing his first novel at the age of fourteen. However, the project was abandoned when he developed other interests such as girls, cars, and sports. Norm joined the Army during the height of the Vietnam War and after graduating from helicopter flight school, he served a tour in Vietnam where he logged over a thousand combat flight hours and survived three helicopter crashes. Norm married shortly before leaving the service and after completing his military obligation, he returned to Colorado. Norm’s life-long interests and hobbies include western history, antique firearms, old cowboy junk, and Native American collectables. The expertise gained from his interests and hobbies, contribute significantly to the realism, and detail correctness of his novels. Norm now spends most of his time writing and enjoying life on his small Colorado ranch, where he keeps a couple of mules, horses, and raises Black Angus cattle. According to Norm, “Life don’t get much better than that.”
