Ziwa is an unusual elf, and elves are never unusual. It's a curse, one she is convinced was placed on her when she was a child. If she could only remember her past, she might be able to do something about it. Her only clue is a phrase from someone that at one point had been human and who was quite mad. The elf with his terrible sword, the thing had said. Ziwa is on a mission for the elves when she hears something very similar from an unexpected source. Following that lead will take her deep into ohulhug territory, a race that kills on a whim. What she finds there will not only give her clues to her missing past, it will reveal secrets that will change the balance of power between elves, humans, trolls, and ohulhug. That is, if she can survive long enough to tell someone.
