Named after the Native American tribe, Omaha was born in San Francisco. He has never been to Nebraska or eaten an Omaha Steak. He continues to be amazed by the large number of Americans he meets who think Omaha is a State. When Omaha was a small child he believed Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom was his show. Though a resident of LA for over 20 years now, Omaha is keenly aware that he will always be a San Franciscan and never an Angeleno. LOST ANGELES is an existential nightmare suggesting it may appear the grass is always greener no matter which path you take in life. It continues a theme present, to a greater or lesser extent, in all of his Graphic Novels - from THE DRUDE v1 and SUPER TERRE.R back to HOLMES and BODHISATTVA - that theme being the illusory nature of Reality (and Sanity). Funny stuff, right? Right?! Omaha’s biggest influences are Literature (Dumas, Tolstoy, Vonnegut, PK Dick), Comics (Gilbert Shelton, Jack Kirby, Robert Crumb) and Rock & Roll (Bowie, Iggy, Lou, Lennon, Jagger & Richards)! Though he originally drew comics, Omaha, a prolific writer, is thrilled to have other artists toiling away on his projects!
