Haruki macht auf seinem Heimweg eine besondere Entdeckung: Inmitten von Kälte und meterhohem Schnee findet er Narumi, einen Naturfotografen, den es von Tokyo nach Hokkaido verschlagen hat, um eine „Snow Fairy“ zu fotografieren.
