Lyricist Pamela Phillips Oland is coming off one of the best years of her long career. She continues to reinvent herself, and her creative juices keep flowing into multiple projects and genres. Defying categorization, the 3x-Grammy-nominated Oland writes pop, R&B, rock, country, jazz and theater songs with the same ease of inspiration. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Selena, Frank Sinatra, Peabo Bryson, Reba McIntyre, The Jacksons and Gladys Knight represent just a few of her 500 or so recorded songs. Her hit musical – co-written with composer Tom Harriman and script writer Edwin DeVries — “Soldier of Orange” — is currently the most successful musical in Dutch history, in its third year of a run at the Theatrehangaar, Amsterdam, with ticket sales approaching 1 million. Her new single “Forever,” (Ralphi Rosario featuring Frankie) was most added, #1 breakout, and is climbing Billboard’s Club Play charts. Her forthcoming single “Hey You, Girl!” is in line to follow Britain’s Got Talent phenom Charlie Green’s launching single “Liquid Ice,” all produced by Christian DeWalden. She is the lyricist on “Real Women Have Curves, the Musical” with author Josefina Lopez and Composer Tom Harriman. Her novel – 8 years in the writing – is finally finished.
