You can capture a lot in a snapshot. If you look into every part of the picture for long enough, you can find things that you hadn't seen previously. You can revisit the picture ten or twenty years later and be excited or mortified by what you're seeing. You can learn things. You can re-learn things. You can regret. Regret is not a bad thing, especially if it helps you to grow. Depending on your vantage point, you may see a picture differently than the person sitting right next to you. You can be in love with that person and not understand why they're seeing something that you can't see. You don't have to see what they're seeing and they don't have to see what you're seeing. Your lens is different. Someone sees a fun-loving clown. Their best friend might be terrified by the sight of the same clown. Sometimes, you and your best friend are the same exact person. You're just looking at the picture through the lens of a different experience. A pandemic is defined as "a disease that is prevalent over a whole country or the world". The ripples of the pandemic of 2019-2021+ will not be silenced during our lifetime. The damage is irreparable. The pain caused by this pandemic will not end. However, as you can rescue a person from the waves of a typhoon that may kill them in a matter of days, everyone has the opportunity to dissuade people from succumbing to their own demons. This is a work of fiction. PLEASE do not read this if you are triggered by the concept of self-harm. But if you are and if you do, please talk to me.
