A note from Pat: The book is a collection of short essays I've written over the years on an array of topics related to organizational life. I hope you enjoy them. Many of these ideas were originally shared with readers via our Point-of-View program, which is a series of pieces that my company, The Table Group, regularly e-mails to our readers and clients. Several entries were also published in other media outlets. Whatever the case, the essays here go beyond what I've written in my books, covering issues ranging from innovation to virtual teams to something I call adrenaline addiction. My goal in writing these POVs is always to be practical, interesting and concise, and to provoke readers to think about how they might be able to more positively impact the live of the people they lead and manage. I hope these ideas resonate with you in some way.
