Jerry and Patsy Di Leo are twin brothers from Mt. Vernon, NY who became self-published authors of children's picture books in 2010 with the release of their first book, Gabriella and Her Bouquet of Friends, which received two book awards. Their second book, Pirate Gabriella Sails the Five Oceans, also received a book award. The Di Leo brothers, who are graduates of Fordham University, released a third book called Gabriella Counts to Ten in Eight Languages. The book series was honored as a Finalist in the USA Best Books 2011 Awards in the category of Children's Book Series. Jerry and Patsy were inspired to write children's stories by Jerry Di Leo's young daughter, Gabriella, whose image was used to create the Gabriella character in the books. The Di Leos have two more books to be released soon. Jerry Di Leo owns a landscaping business and garbage removal business based in Mt. Vernon, while Patsy Di Leo is employed as a budget analyst.
