Paul Smith was born in Cambridge and currently works in a library where he tries to pry people away from the computers to look at the lovely books instead. He was introduced to the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons at an early age and has been obsessed with fantasy worlds ever since. Having written many roleplaying campaigns and read 'almost every fantasy book' he thought that he should get on with it and write his own fantasy novel. His somewhat morbid fascination with crime dramas has led him to blend these passions together to create a 'forensic/fantasy' genre. When not working or writing he spends time with his family or 'makes things out of leather', which he gives as ‘lovely gifts’ or wears them to dress up at Comic Cons. 'A Noble Murder' is his first novel in the Fragmented series.
