A specialist in American political history in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Paul W. Glad graduated from Purdue University in 1947 and earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. in history from Indiana University. Over the course of a long career Glad taught at Hastings College; Coe College; Marburg University, Germany; University of Maryland; University of Graz, Austria; University of Clermont-Ferrand, France; University of Wisconsin; Chicago University; and the University of Oklahoma.
