Paul Weston's career in film spans six decades, beginning in the 1960s when he understudied Roger Moore on The Saint—performing his own stunt so convincingly he was booked as a stuntman on the very next episode. That moment launched a remarkable journey as both performer and creative force behind the camera. As a stunt performer, coordinator, and second unit director, Paul is internationally respected and has worked on some of cinema's most iconic titles, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, An American Werewolf in London, The Three Musketeers, Dragonheart, Aliens and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. He was Christopher Reeve's flying double on Superman and became a key member of the James Bond stunt team, doubling for ‘Jaws’ in Moonraker, again for Roger Moore on Octopussy, and coordinating stunts on The Living Daylights and Licence to Kill. Alongside his stunt work, Paul trained as an actor, developing a rare ability to blend spectacle with performance. Paul worked closely with directors including John Landis, Kevin Reynolds, and James Cameron. His remarkable career has had him dance with Charlie Chaplin, sing with the Beatles – and even extended to songwriting in LA! https://www.007magazine.co.uk/falling... https://jamesbond007.se/eng/bocker/pa... https://jamesbond007.se/eng/recension... “Weston’s memoir is filled with remarkable behind-the-scenes stories detailing the setup and execution of various stunts, along with anecdotes about some of the major film stars of that era. The book is indispensable for anyone interested in the filmmaking process and the contributions of stunt performers and supervisors. It is also compelling due to the fascinating nature of his life beyond the film industry.”
