Peggy Mound McAloon grew up in a small farming community in the Midwest. As a child, she suffered abuse and bullying. Those experiences were her inspiration in writing the Elle Burton series. In her words, "I want to inspire kids to have a kind heart and help others and also empower kids in trouble to seek out someone who can help them." She is thrilled that "Elle Burton and the Reflective Portals" was a finalist in the 2018 Readers' Favorite International Book Awards. She enjoyed a long career as the National Account Manager for Forius,Inc. a division of the National Association of Credit Management where she was a speaker, trainer, sales executive. She published her first book, "The Art of Business Credit Investigation" a resource guide for commercial credit managers during her career. She has been extremely active in water conservation and has won national and state awards for her efforts in protecting the surface and groundwaters throughout Wisconsin. She is also a founding member of the Women's Giving Circle in Dunn County and works to secure funding for scholarships for young women through P.E.O.
