I was born in Thailand in 1966 because my father was posted overseas for his job. When I was four years old, my parents moved to Switzerland and then when I was seven, they were posted to the Philippines. To provide a more balanced education, I was sent to boarding school in England where I excelled at precisely nothing. Undaunted, I eventually graduated with a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering and took up a career in IT, something which has in no way prepared me to be an author. I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful children who dutifully pretend that I'm an author who's tinkering at IT rather than the reverse! I love reading, windsurfing, running, walks in the country, travel and meeting new people.
