Philip Robinson, is a gay African-American writer. His genre is poetry. He has been writing for forty-five years. His most recent books are "We Still Leave a Legacy." which highlights in part the many people lost to HIV/AIDS and other illnesses. His second book is, "In The Trenches The Voice of A Guidance Counselor." This one deals with in a fictional way, the challenges students face be it from elementary to high school. Philip is anthologized in a few books, "In The Life: The Black Gay Anthology," "The Road Before Us 100 Gay Black Poets." "When The Drama Club Is Enough" "The Last Closet the real lives of lesbian and gay teachers". Philip was a guidance counselor in the Boston Public Schools, and retired from the City of Boston after thirty-two years. He lives in the Boston area with his partner, of thirty-seven years, Joseph Jackson. He too is a retired Boston Public School teacher, after thirty-five years.
