A historical novel written by Henryk Sienkiewicz in 1886. It is a classic of the Polish literatur and one of the best literary works of Henryk Sienkiewicz. The novel tells a story of a fictional Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealths soldier and noble Andrzej Kmicic and shows a panorama of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the historical Deluge which was a part of the Northern Wars.
