What I liked about Mad Gods was that the author started the reader out on a journey right from the onset of the book—the plot was well written, easy to understand, and thought provoking. He watches his TV shows in one of Danvers Mental Hospital's nice padded rooms, snugly dressed in his own long sleeved, buckled, canvas jacket. He feels safe here away from a hostile, ravaging outside world. He's horribly wrong.
