It's not easy being a king, especially when you desire to dress like a queen! Book1 in the hilarious Queen Arthur series... After learning of her husband's secret, Guinevere recalls a story from her youth regarding a magical talisman that will show a person however he or she desires to be seen. A fat man can appear thin, an old woman can appear young, and so on. This, of course, is perfect for Arthur since he desires to dress in a fashion that is more befitting a queen than a king. Merlin is a wizard (of sorts). He has been in contact with a woman from the future for many years. She has taught him much about technology and science. So much, in fact, that the people of his world believe he is capable of doing magic. One of the items she shared with him is the motion picture camera. Since then, Merlin has been looking for a project to allow him to become a director (in the film-industry sense of the word). Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable set off on a quest to retrieve the magical talisman while Merlin joins the adventure so that he may film the entire ordeal.

The future is a strange place... Not intended for children. It’s been eight months since Merlin has heard from Dr. Allison Smith, and he’s beside himself with worry. He has to convince King Arthur to bring the knights on a quest into the future in order to figure out what’s happened to her. But the future brings with it many wonderous and often frightening experiences. Even figuring out how to move about in a futuristic city is a terrifying prospect. Worse yet, they don’t even have any money. Arthur has the knights split up in search of a way to build up their financial resources while Merlin and Galahad hunt for Dr. Smith. Sirs Bors de Ganis, Kay, and Gaheris go for acting jobs at the local medieval dinner theater. Arthur, Guinevere, Lance-A-Lot, and the king of Scotland scrounge for whatever they can find. The result is a hilarious romp in the year 2022. ... and when they learn what has truly happened to Dr. Allison Smith, their worlds will change forever!
