After being born and raised in the cornfields of Nebraska, Brandon moved to Chicago and pursued a comedy career at the legendary Second City. After graduating from the Improv and Comedy Writing programs, he went on to co-found “Monkey Don’t Productions” and became a member of “The Uncomfortables” improv and sketch group. After nearly 8 years of writing sketch comedy, Brandon shifted his attention to a new medium. In the spring of 2013, he published his first full-length novel - a dark comedy called "Mantrap," which is available in paperback and on Kindle. The novel follows a group of friends who escape the modern world and their day-to-day responsibilities as husbands, fathers and boyfriends for a two-week bender at a cabin on Mantrap Lake in the middle of nowhere Minnesota. Devoid of any communication and over an hour away from any form of civilization, they are blissfully unaware that the zombie apocalypse has begun while they’ve been gone, and now half of North America is filled with the walking dead. Now the group must survive the onslaught of undead creatures - not to mention each other - and find a way to reach their loved ones, who may or may not still be alive. Brandon maintains a blog about writing over at brandonandersen.com, and is also on Twitter @brandonchicago. He is also very active on /r/writing on reddit.
