
R. Douglas Jacobs is a philosopher, poet, dramatist, artist and impresario who hails from the coastal city of Long Beach in Southern California. Jacobs cites Dante, Milton, Keats, Shelley, Poe, Longfellow and Frost has poets who have influenced his love his verse. Jacobs is a humble individual who believes that literature in its true form is a catharsis and can serve the greater good by exploring many existential questions we ignore. His forthcoming book, "Beyond Rhymes, Beyond Reason" is his fifth self-publication and one he ranks with his prior efforts, Gethsemane and deFragmentation. Jacobs is a devout practitioner of his faith and enjoys Baroque and jazz music, museum exhibits, particularly those showcasing Renaissance paintings. As a hobby, Jacobs enjoys lifting weights and taking long walks.
